I am a cyberspace operations officer in the United States Air Force, currently serving in San Antonio, TX. I have spent the last four years leading small teams expanding the USAF Security Operations Center’s ability to detect malicious activity across both enterprise and cloud systems. I am beginning a transition from active duty and plan to resettle in Washington state, where I am looking for opportunities to grow my technical skills.
I have a technical background; I graduated from the University of Washington, Seattle with a B.S. in Applied Physics and a minor in Applied Mathematics. I have experience coding with Python and Java. I have led teams employing SIEMs (Elastic, Sentinel, Devo) for alerting and monitoring, primarily cloud service logs (e.g. AWS CloudTrail) and host OS logs (e.g. Windows Event Logs & Syslog) but I have also supported EDR, Firewall, and Netflow monitoring.
